Coffee or Coffee Shops?

Which of the two has become your way of life? Are you a coffee or drinker or are you just in for the status symbol that coffee companies provide?

The aroma of the well-loved bean has enthralled millions of people all over the globe.
Each country has its own blend of homegrown coffee which people are very proud of. But with the excessive capitalism of coffee companies, the purpose of drinking coffee nowadays has differed from the previous years.

If you survey fast food chains, small diners, first class
restaurants, and five star hotels, you will notice that each of these establishments serve breakfast with coffee: whether simply brewed or with ad
ded flavor. The cost of this caffeine-based beverage differs, but the taste (and aftertaste) stays the same.

Today, coffee cups are filled the whole day even until the wee hours. That’s because coffee isn’t just a simple beverage anymore. It has become a way of life, thanks to the huge coffee companies coupled with their coffee franchise plans. Starbucks, Seattle’s Best, Figaro – all of which represent how people’s
daily lives revolve around the essence of coffee intake.

It may seem absurd that people spend too much on just a tall brewed coffee (which, by the way, is the smallest size of a Starbucks coffee product). Some of these commercial coffee patrons were not even born coffee drinkers. But because of the status symbol a coffee company can offer once you buy a cup of their expensive blend, you easily get persuaded to take another sip, another gulp, and another round of visiting the nearest coffee shop.

Whether it’s plain caffeine addiction or just another drinkable fashion accessory this season, gathering with peers in coffee shops has become a way of life. Cafes may provide excessive mark-up, but they also guarantee warm company together with a group of friends.
